Laurie Sorrenson OD, FAAO.

| Laurie Sorrenson, OD, FAAO is in a group practice in Austin. She has spoken extensively on numerous practice management issues including paperless offices, laser vision correction, increasing revenues, office efficiency and other topics. Dr. Sorrenson was chosen by the University of Houston College of Optometry to be the Benedict Practice Management professor for the year 2000-2001. The University also bestowed upon her the “Distinguished Alumni Award” for the year 2002. She has received the “Young Optometrist of the Year” and the “Optometrist of the Year” from the Texas Optometric Association. She recently received the “Bill Pittman Leadership Award” in 2006. In 2008, she received the first ever “Mollie Wright Armstrong Public Service Award”. She is currently the chair for the TX Optometric Political Action committee. |
