Your
ARBO Tracker Number
The
Association of Regulatory Boards of Optometry (ARBO)
is the national organization representing licensing boards
for
optometrists. ARBO has launched a national databank, entitled
OE
Tracker, to collect and report CE credits for optometrists
on behalf of
US licensing boards.
ARBO
has assigned a unique 6-digit OE number to every optometrist
that must be used to accurately
report CE credits.
It
appears below your name on the ARBO OE tracker card that
was
recently mailed to you. If you don’t know your OE
number, please
visit OE Tracker at www.arbo.org or call ARBO at (866)
869-6852 to
obtain it.
We will be implementing the ARBO OE tracker system at the
2007
Heart of America Contact Lens and Primary Care Congress.
Please
supply your OE tracker number when registering.
Policy For Meetings By Outside Groups
Any
meetings that are to be held by outside groups must be
scheduled at times that do not conflict with HOACLS
sponsored
activities. Outside groups should contact Dr. Delton Fast with
meeting requests.
Continuing Education Approval
The educational program has been pre-approved for CE credit
by the UMSL College of Optometry. The Heart of America Contact
Lens and Primary Care Congress will monitor and provide doctors
with attendance verification as they leave class, allowing
them to receive credit from their state board.
We will be implementing the ARBO OE tracker system this year,
so please supply your OE tracker number when registering. HOACLS
does not keep a permanent record of attendance of all classes.
Although each state is sent notification of the courses offered,
the Heart of America does not guarantee that courses will be
accepted by a licensing board. It is the responsibility of
the doctor to know the state requirements for re-licensure
and to keep the record of his or her attendance.
COPE:
All courses offered in the doctor's program have COPE approval
and are identified with a COPE number. For two-hour
COPE courses that are divided into Part 1 and Part 2, the
doctor must attend both sections in order to receive COPE
credit.
CEE:
Courses designated as ”CEE” are in the process
of becoming Continuing Education with Examination courses (formerly
known as "TQ"). These are all two-hour courses
and must be taken as such to receive credit. The UMSL College
of
Optometry is administering the courses and a separate fee
is to be paid to the university at the time the required
test
is submitted for grading.
Refund Policy
A full refund will be made for any cancellations received by Dr. Steve Smith that are submitted by January 31, 2009. All requests must be written and received by mail (postmarked 1-28-09), fax (918-283-4886), or email (registration@hoacls.org). Any refund requests received after January 31, 2009 will incur a $50 US fee. Refund requests will only be honored if made on or before February 12, 2009.
